D. Hsu , MD

Board Certified Radiation Oncologist

Dr. Hsu was born and raised in Taiwan and immigrated to the US when he was 14. After graduating from San Marino High School, he received his BA degree in Biology from UC Berkeley. He received his MD and MBA degrees from Creighton University in Omaha, NE.

He completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Hsu also received MPH (Master of Public Health) degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. After completing his residency, he practiced at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, CA. He then moved to Omaha, NE to help build and develop a brand new cancer center there and practiced as the head of radiation oncology.

M. Kwong , PA-C

Board Certified Physician Assistant

Ms. Kwong is a board-certified Physician Assistant who joined OC Skin Institute in 2017. She received her Bachelors at University of Washington and Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at James Madison University. After her studies, she returned to Orange County to work at breast cancer and plastic reconstruction clinic for a few years. That job cemented her passion to work with cancer patients and honed her surgery and suturing skills, which are important to her job now at OC Skin Institute. She strives to provide excellent patient care and to continue to learn more. In her free time, Ms. Kwong enjoys spending time at home with her husband and two daughters. She also enjoys watching movies and looking up food recipes to try.

I. De La Cruz

Chief Radiation Therapist

Mr. De La Cruz graduated from California State University of Long Beach with a Bachelor of Science-Health Science Option in Radiation Therapy. As a student, he completed his radiation therapy internships at University of California Irvine Medical Center, UCLA Reagan Medical Center, Long Beach Memorial, and Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital.

He was one of the first Radiation Therapists in SoCal, to work with Electronic Brachytherapy specializing in skin radiation therapy, alongside Dr. Hsu in 2013. He helped start our services in 2014, before leaving to work and hone his skills as a radiation therapist under other institutions, but he is now back as our Chief Radiation Therapist.
